A miniaturized cross coupled coaxial cavity band pass filter has been designed fast and tuned by using the HFSS dual mode method to extract the coupling coefficients.The design method is convenient, practical and universal.The HFSS software is used to simulate the whole filter.A band pass filter operated at L band has been designed. The filter has the features of insertion loss of less than 0.3 dB in pass band and -20 dB of out of band beyond 10 MHz.The tuning method has been analyzed.
