In order to study the dynamic characteristics of a piezoelectric motor based on synchronized switching control. Mathematical simulation software Maplesim and its existing mathematical models were used to construct simulation model for piezoelectric clamp switch, piezoelectric ceramics and vibrator respectively. The overall system simulation for Piezoelectric motor had also been done with this model. It was illustrated that the piezoelectric motor had a favorable movement characteristics after analyzing the results of the simulation. The singlestep distance for piezoelectric motor without load was 8.182 μm on condition that the drive voltage and duty cycle were 100 V and 50% respectively. It also proved that the average velocity of the output shaft was an approximately linear function of the driving voltage and decreased with the increases of load and duty cycle. The simulation provided an important reference for controls parameters adjustment of piezoelectric motor in the further experiment and practical application.
