Abstract:A micro piezoelectric windenergy harvester is put forward based on the mechanism of windinduced vibration, which would transfer the wind energy to the electricity. The device comprises a cavity and a piezofilm vibration sensor. A slender cylinder is attached at the free tip of piezoelectric film vibration beam, inducing the beam to vibrate because of the principle of vortexinduced vibration. Apart from the vortexinduced vibration, other types of windinduced vibration also contribute to the vibration of piezoelectric film. The size of device is 30 mm×16 mm×14 mm, and under the condition of 7 m/s wind speed with 1.8 MΩ resistance, the power is 0.84 μW. Meanwhile, the efficiency can be raised by increasing the number of piezoelectric film vibration beam.
